Food for those in need

Here are some of the projects that provide food for those in need around Loughborough. The addresses of these services are shown below.

  • Project 5000 takes place every Monday evening from 7pm until 9pm. It is in the Old Emmanuel Church Hall on Forest Road and Hot Food is provided. There are also food parcels given out every fortnight.
  • Minnie’s Friends happens at the United Reformed Church on Frederick Street every Monday, Thursday and Friday. Breakfast is given out from 9:30am until 12 noon and Lunch is given out from 12 noon until 2pm.
  • The Carpenter’s Arms give out food parcels at Joseph’s storehouse on Wharncliffe Road every Tuesday and Thursday. They are given out from 2:30pm until 3:30pm
  • The Beacon Christian Centre gives out hot food every Thursday evening from 7pm until 9pm. It takes place at 294 Park Road (near Tesco).

If you wish to help any of these organisations, they are always looking for more volunteers so get involved!DSC_0265
